AI Hajj impressed by the high quality of the Championship

The 23-year-old joined the Pilgrims after playing for Odense in the top flight of football in Denmark, and prior to that he had been with Dutch Eredivisie side Heerenveen. He has already noticed the intensity and speed of the matches in England.

Al Hajj said: “I’m getting used to it week-by-week against all the different teams, and getting all the training weeks also. I feel I’m coming into it well, step by step. The games are open the whole time, it’s unpredictable. They are 50-50 so you have to be on your toes and focused every game.”

The former Sweden under-21 international has made four starts and three substitute appearances for Argyle and scored on his full debut in the Sky-televised 3-1 victory over Luton Town at Home Park.
