PLANS TO MAKE IT EVEN BIGGER NEXT YEAR AT LIFE CENTRE
WILLIAM TELFORD
Bumper crowds at Business Show

MORE than a thousand people attended the biggest business show in Devon and Cornwall - and there are already plans to make next year's event even larger. The Devon Business Show attracted a bumper turnout to the Plymouth Pavilions but in 2024 it will move to the Life Centre.

Stuart Elford, chief executive of Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, said that by partnering with Plymouth Active Leisure Ltd, the show will be staged in a sports hall which is 40% bigger than the Pavilions. It means further expansion for an event which has bounced back well after the Covid pandemic and was sold out this week, with more than 100 firms exhibiting as attendees flocked in.

They were able to meet and make business contacts, find out about companies and their products and services and have fun.

Live podcasts were broadcast throughout the day, City College Plymouth students and apprentices were giving hair-dos and hand massages, there were electric vehicles, a pop-up forest and games too - plus plenty of confectionery.
