Business traveller is beaten up at hotel

A MAN from Plymouth was kidnapped and beaten unconscious by masked men who raided his apartment, during a work trip to Belgium.

Mark Langdon, 46, was four days into a two-week trip to Brussels when the men broke into his apartment and put a knife to his throat.

After searching through his belongings, they blindfolded him and threw him into the back of his car. After driving for 10 minutes, the car stopped and one of the men got out - giving Mark a chance to escape - but they intercepted him and beat him unconscious.

A few hours later, he woke up and was transported to a hospital, where doctors told him he had a broken nose, a fractured skull, and a broken arm.
