PHASE one of the massive upgrade of Plymouth city centre is nearly complete.
City centre work partially complete

Work on the scheme for Old Town Street and New George Street has been ongoing for nearly two year and a half years. The scheme aims to refresh and revive Old Town Street and New George Street as part of a huge investment by Plymouth City Council. 

Dated 1980s landscaping will go, and in its place will be features designed to make one of the key parts of the city look a lot brighter and nicer, the council says.
