STEVEN Schumacher described Plymouth Argyle's 3-0 defeat of Blackburn Rovers at Home Park as 'a huge win' for his side as they continue to adapt to the Championship.
Blackburn had more of the ball than the Pilgrims and created some excellent chances, but could not convert any of them, with an early sixth-minute miss from Ryan Hedges turning out to be very costly.
After a shaky start, Argyle grew into the game and went ahead with a deflected shot from on-loan Aston Villa midfielder Finn Azaz shortly before the half-hour mark.
The Pilgrims had to continue defending strongly in the second period but they showed a clinical edge with further goals in the final 15 minutes from in-form striker Ryan Hardie and substitute Luke Cundle.
