GOSPORT BOROUGH...................1
PLYMOUTH PARKWAY..................1
Jack Crago struck in first-half injury time to cancel out Dan Wooden’s goal only a few minutes earlier and after the break, Parkway showed their defensive resilience to hold onto what they had and return home with a deserved share of the spoils.
“To get a result like that against a good side in Gosport, I’m delighted and couldn’t be more proud,” boss Lee Hobbs said. “We were missing some key individuals and I can’t fault the squad with what everyone gave us today.”
Playing their first game since Boxing Day Parkway travelled to fourth-placed Gosport with a depleted squad but looking to extend their unbeaten league run to six games. Due to injury, illness and unavailability, four enforced changes were made with Alex Cairo, Rio Garside, Reece Thomson and Callum Rose replacing Ryan Lane, Oscar Halls, Mikey Williams and Jack Bray-Evans.
Teddy Hobbs and Freddie Chapman from the Under-18s, both untried and untested at this level, were named among the four substitutes with Rose assuming the captains role and a couple of players having to start in unfamiliar positions.
