LABOUR MP Luke Pollard has joined forces with councillors to launch a campaign for a new safety crossing at one end of Mutley Plain, saying it is an 'accident waiting to happen! The MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport has started a petition to install a new crossing at the end of the road which has a junction with North Hill, Greenbank Road and Alexandra Road.
Councillors in Drake and Comp-ton wards have been working on a campaign for a safe pedestrian crossing at Mutley Plain, following concerns from members of the public about pedestrian and driver safety.
Cllr Matt Smith raised the issue at Monday's city council session.
