PLYMOUTH retail tycoon Chris Dawson and his wife Sarah have seen their wealth grow by £475m in the past year as she moves to the tax haven of Monaco. The couple, who own The Range chain of household goods stores, now have a fortune of £2.5bn according to the new edition of the Sunday Times Rich List.
Mr and Mrs Dawson have leapt 15 places up the list, due to be published in the Sunday Times on May 19, and are now the 70th richest people in the UK and the second wealthiest in the South West, behind technology magnate Sir James Dyson and his family. Mr Dyson has, however, seen his wealth drop by a staggering £2.2bn in the past year, but he is still worth £20.8bn according to the Sunday Times.
