DOG owners have been warned to be wary of sharp branches which have been left or fallen across on paths at Plymouth’s Cann Woods, after one dog walker was left facing a massive vet’s bill.
Darren James took his dog, Minty, on his usual walk through the woods on Tuesday, February 27, treading familiar paths, but he was left shocked – and out of pocket – after he heard the springer spaniel let out a yelp.
Darren told The Herald: “At first, I didn’t think a lot of it, as he will usually give a yelp for running after our two other dogs, but this time he came running towards me out of the bushes and it was horrible.”
