THE new leader of Plymouth City Council has pledged to launch a cost-of-living action plan to help struggling families.
Labour's Tudor Evans, fresh from triumphing in last week's elections, has vowed to put people's financial struggles at the top of his agenda and have an action plan ready within 100 days of being in power.
Cllr Evans, who is back in the city after meeting Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer in London, said he will also prioritise the "five pledges" Labour made prior to last week's victory. These cover crime and anti-social behaviour, cleaner streets and potholes, new homes, access to healthcare and green investment.
