JOHNNY Vegas's friends and family mercilessly mocked him when he revealed his outlandish idea to set up the UK's coolest bespoke boutique glampsite with refurbed buses.

"It's not the worst idea you've ever had... remember when you wanted to set up that water restaurant?" said one mate as they all fell about laughing.

Set-backs included a Maltese bus stuck on board a fireravaged ship and a major planning issue.
