Rosemarie De Boyer entertained members with a detailed talk on the Coronation of King Richard III.
Some of our members added to the fun by wearing medieval dress.
Our chairman Shirley Stapley welcomed members and gave a brief rundown of happenings since our last meeting and a list of events for the rest of the year which include talks, cream tea and a medieval lunch.
We are also organising a visit to Powderham Castle in September.
Next year sees the centenary of the founding of the Richard III Society and we are already planning some special commemorative events.
All our meetings are held at Ford Park cemetery in the Victorian Chapel and we meet up at noon in the Northey cafe at Ford Park for refreshments and a chat and again after the meeting.
