Hobbs demands that Parkway eradicate the costly mistakes
The Herald|March 19, 2024
PLYMOUTH Parkway head to AFC Totton tonight, three days on from their 23rd postponement of the season against Hayes & Yeading, which has made their ridiculous fixture schedule all the more demanding.

Hobbs demands that Parkway eradicate the costly mistakes

Parkway had moved two of their Southern League games 130 miles away to Yate Town, in order to stand the best possible chance of fulfilling their fixtures for the season, but it seems wherever they go, the rain follows them with Yate calling the game off on Saturday morning due to a waterlogged pitch.

There should be no such problems tonight - but we have said that many times already this season - as Parkway head to a Totton side riding high in the division and looking to make those end of season play-offs on the first Bank Holiday weekend in May.

It is now 16 games remaining in just 40 days for Parkway with manager Lee Hobbs wanting five wins which he thinks will secure Southern League Premier Division football again for next season. But in order to get them, he wants his side to cut out the silly mistakes that have been so costly in recent losses to Swindon Supermarine and Merthyr Town.

"It's the start of a new week with three really big, really important games, starting with Totton, then Winchester Thursday and Bracknell on Saturday," Hobbs said.
