In the mix... how Sam found music, fundraising and royal support

EARLY last year we spoke to local musician Sam Ho, who had just clocked up a No 8 single with his song Live Your Dream on the Traxsource soul/funk/disco Top 100 Chart.

A year on, just ahead of the coronation, the former Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust has received his latest review from Traxsource which shows that he’s now enjoyed seven top 100 positions for his music and had ten features in the DJ charts, the latest success being his track Outside, with DJ Solidstice.

“I've just kept on going from last year,’ he says, and online have met so many different music producers who do loads of different remixes. In fact I’ve almost lost count of who I’m working with!”

DJs love Sam because he’s easy to work with and has his own studio where he records his vocals, usually in just one take.

“They send me their tracks, I write and record vocals and they deal with the rest. It’s a bit like karaoke really!”

Unknown Past, DJ Kzas, Jacques Waty are among many he’s worked with although he’s currently mainly working with Solidstice and of course getting support from these guys means the music finds a much bigger audience.
