Lee may have known two of his new team-mates from playing with them at Exeter City, but he met the majority of them for the first time after being picked up at Exeter Services, en route to Saturday’s match at Salisbury.
Lee had been signed 24 hours previously on a loan deal from the Grecians after Plymouth Argyle loanee Adam Parkes suffered a shoulder injury and the youngster boarded the Parkway coach wearing full Exeter City attire! Needless to say the banter quickly started as Lee was embraced by his new loan club.
“Tt wasn’t just an Exeter City top, it was full Exeter City attire!” laughed Parkway boss Lee Hobbs. He got a bit of stick for it, but when we got to the ground, we gave him some kit as we hadn’t had an opportunity to do it at a training session, or a home game. He’s got all the right kit now!”
After quickly winning over his new team-mates, it was time to win over the supporters as well and the talented 18-year-old certainly did that with a man of the match display. He repelled Salisbury time and time again, making a string of fine saves, and kept a clean sheet as Parkway won 1-0 with a Callum Hall goal in the second half.
