Marine Academy Primary in St Budeaux, part of the Ted Wragg Trust, and Tor Bridge Primary, part of The Inspire Multi Academy Trust, in Plymouth, have been announced as two of only a handful of Pearson National Teaching Silver Award winners from across the UK.
Both schools have been recognised in the 'Making a Difference Primary School of the Year' category of the Pearson National Teaching Awards. The awards were founded in 1998 by Lord Puttnam to recognise the life-changing impact schools can have on the lives of young people.
The double awards are said to be a remarkable achievement for Plymouth, as it is highly unusual to have two schools in the same city win awards.
