PLYMOUTH’S latest Oggy Oggy pasty shop has opened in the city’s new £19m retail centre. The new outlet at Bravo Way, Derriford, is the city’s seventh Oggy Oggy – and second largest.
With 30 seats inside, and another eight outside, only the two-floor Armada Way shop, in the city centre, is larger than the new Derriford District Centre outlet. It started trading on Monday and was soon busy.
The 1,000sq ft outlet, sandwiched between the already-trading Aldi supermarket and the soon to open M&S Food store, is the 15th in the Oggy Oggy chain.
Brian Stanleick started the business 30 years ago in Cornwall and was in Plymouth to witness the Derriford store serve its first customers.
He described Plymouth as a “pasty town” and Bravo Way as “a perfect grab-and-go site”. He said: “We are very pleased to have the support of Plymouth people and it’s handy that Oggy Oggy patrons now don’t have to go all the way into the city centre.”
