A SECONDARY school in Cornwall which was previously told it that required improvements has been praised, following a recent monitoring visit by the education watchdog – but more work still needs to be done.
An Ofsted inspector made a ‘monitoring visit’ to Saltash Community School in March this year, after it was previously graded as ‘requires improvement’ in December 2022.
According to the education watchdog: “The purpose of a monitoring inspection is not to grade the school’s overall effectiveness, but to identify and report on the school’s progress. It is to highlight to the school and parents any improvements that school leaders have made since the school’s previous graded inspection.”
