Parkway silent as Truro move out

PLYMOUTH Parkway have decided against making any official comment on the news that Truro City have moved out of Bolitho Park and will play the remainder of their 'home' games this season at Taunton Town's Wordsworth Drive.

In a shock announcement on Wednesday, the White Tigers released a statement informing supporters that, prior to their return to Cornwall in time for the 2024/25 season, they will be leaving Plymouth with immediate effect and moving a further 75 miles away from their temporary home at Bolitho Park.

That means a round trip of 240 miles for Truro supporters for their remaining ten 'home' games, but it is a move the club feel they have to make in order to fulfil their National League South fixtures this season after having 13 postponements (original fixtures and rearranged games) already this campaign, 11 of which at home.

Truro have played only 27 of their 46 league games so far and are playing catch-up on all the teams in the division. However, they will now be ground sharing with Taunton, who have had issues with their pitch as well this year and they too are behind with their fixtures having only played 28 league games due to a number of postponements because of a waterlogged pitch.
