Tommy Small, 33, of Waterloo Close in Plymouth pleaded guilty at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on August 7 following his arrest for having a bladed article in a public place on August 6.
The court heard he was spotted on CCTV walking through Courtney Street car park with what appeared to be a knife in a sheath in his right hand.
