A LONG-standing eyesore in a south-east Cornwall seaside town is set for a dramatic turnaround.
After closing in the summer of 2023 with little by way of explanation, The Globe Inn, in Looe, will soon usher in a new era under fresh stewardship.
The establishment’s last orders were taken before its shutters came down last year, preceding a bankruptcy filing by former publican Jonathan Snelling on November 10, 2023. Months have passed with The Globe Inn standing empty and boarded up, with its facade becoming a blight in the otherwise picturesque tourist haven.
However, this is all set to change, with the pub slated for a muchanticipated reopening in time for the festive season.
