Residents sick of traffic jams in Tavi-stuck

RESIDENTS in Tavistock have been left angered by daily gridlock caused by roadworks which has "sealed off" their town.

Temporary traffic lights were installed on the main route from Plymouth into Tavistock earlier this month, with locals reporting issues ever since. Businesses say they have seen a drop in customers as they make a beeline for other towns where they do not have to wait in queues, making it a "really difficult time" for traders.

The temporary traffic lights were installed by Wales and West Utilities along Plymouth Road to allow a major upgrade of gas pipes. The A386 is set to be impacted by roadworks until the end of March.
