Richmond's visit allows us to pay tribute to Martin Livesey

LAST Saturday we lost to top of the league Chinnor at the Brickfields. Although the 26-5 defeat did not reflect the game at all, with Albion dominating second-half possession, it just seems like the boys can't finish off the attack.

Hopefully, today, against fifth-placed Richmond, we will have more control and be able to complete the job at hand. We remain middle of the league at seventh position with five tough games left to play.

Richmond are just two points ahead of us in the league and, like us, have had some mixed results.

They have beaten ninth-placed local rivals Blackheath but lost to second-from-bottom Cinderford in the last two games. I have everything crossed that we get back to our winning ways, especially at the Brickfields Fortress.

The game against Richmond holds another special place in our hearts as we pay tribute to ex-player, for both Richmond and Albion, Martin Livesey, who is currently battling Frontotemporal Dementia.

We were hoping Martin would be able to make it to the match, but unfortunately is staying in a specialist hospital in Surrey. Despite his absence, we welcome many of Martin's old team-mates and friends, as well as his wife, Anne, to the match, all of which are hoping to raise awareness and money for The National Brain Appeal.
