Sargeant and Clemson impress in Fawn's defeat
The Herald|December 04, 2024
MARK Sargeant and Dave Clemson's (38.50) 26-dart 1001 leg included two maximums that contributed to 500 points in just three visits to the board from the latter.

Sargeant and Clemson impress in Fawn's defeat

That stunning performance from the duo unfortunately came in a 7-4 Plymouth Open League Division A defeat for home side Fawn A against Prince Maurice.

Twelve tons from Matt Abbott and a Kevin Evans 80 checkout lit up Weston Mill Oak Villa's 9-2 win over Johnno Legends, for whom Brian Lumsdon put on a maximum.

Lewis Dare lit up runaway leaders Beacon Park's 10-1 win over Legends Lounge OGs with a fine tally of 12 scores of a ton or more. Dare's team-mate, Nick Bryant, showed his class with a 123 checkout, whilst Phil Hoyle's 2-0 individual success was accented by a 16-dart leg.

Whilst the scoreline was fully onesided, the four 180s in the contest were shared between the two teams equally as Matt Bridge, Brad Wills, Arthur Pearce and Danny Hoyle all struck.

Jordan Lee was in fine fettle for Prince Maurice FC with ten tons that helped his team to a 9-2 win over Mainstone A, who themselves had James Hoblin in good nick with a 92 checkout.

Dave Jarvis bagged himself a tenton haul to lead Falstaff to a 7-4 win during a visit to St Johnston. The shining light of a disappointing night for the hosts came in the form of a three-treble visit for Matt Piotrowski.

Lee Pare's 144 and 124 checkouts sat next to a 180 from Lee Gillard, but those efforts could not stop Lugger A from beating Pennycross on the last game thanks to a Matt Forder 2-0 last singles success.

Lugger B did their quest to catch Victory for the runners-up slot in the standings no harm with an 8-3 away win over their nearest rivals.

Gareth Hockings' 140 combination checkout for the victors' bettered a 106 by Lee O'Mahony for the defeated party.

O'Mahony's team-mate, Neil White, provided some fireworks with a 15-dart leg and two maximums coming in a 2-1 individual triumph.

Ian Davison's 180 was added to by a third from John Sturdy, but those heroics did not give St Levans the platform to claim the spoils as they were downed by Fortescue.
