A PLYMOUTH slimmer shed more than 12 stone. Alison Ridgley 51, says her confidence has soared after the incredible weight loss.
She is one of 44 women to win a place at the semi-finals of Slimming World’s Woman of the Year 2023 competition. Slimming World’s overall Woman of the Year 2023 will be announced this month.
Alison, who slimmed from 22st 13.5lbs to 10st 10.5lbs, made it to the semi-finals after members of the Southway Slimming World group voted for her to go forward to the national Woman of the Year 2023 semi-finals at Slimming World’s head office in Derbyshire.
She said: “Before I joined Slimming World I was at a loss with what to do about my weight, I was self-conscious and often unhappy but I didn’t know where to start. I found Slimming World after my mum recommended it to me and decided to give it a go.
