A TEENAGER from Plymouth was caught trying to sneak LSD and magic mushrooms into Creamfields, stashing the class A drugs in her bra and an Innocent smoothie bottle.
Liverpool Crown Court heard Maria Boribon, under her boyfriend's orders, attempted to bring the substances into the dance music event, in what was described as a "one-off piece of stupidity"
But the university student avoid jail time after appearing in court, where the judge decided on an "exceptional course".
The court heard how Boribon, now 20, was intercepted by security at the festival in Cheshire, during the 2022 event. She immediately handed over a package hidden within her bra when confronted.
Prosecutor Gerald Baxter explained that security found 159 tabs of LSD inside the package. Additionally, a bottle of Innocent smoothie she carried contained a "liquid mixture" of psychedelic mushrooms.
Boribon, of Old Town Street in Plymouth, admitted the drugs were supplied by her then-boyfriend, who planned to share them with friends at the festival. She has no prior convictions.
Defence lawyer Rick Holland emphasised to the court that Boribon's actions were not premeditated but rather an impulsive reaction to the circumstances she faced.
