ARGYLE ACE KEEN TO SHOW HIS WORTH IN CHAMPIONSHIP
CHRIS ERRINGTON
WRIGHT TRACK

CALLUM Wright believes there is still plenty of time for him to stamp his mark on the Championship this season for Plymouth Argyle despite injury problems earlier in the campaign.

Wright had played on with ‘a little bit of a niggle in my knee’ up until the 4-1 defeat at Bristol City in mid-September when the issue took a turn for worse. It led to the 23-year-old having the knee scanned and it showed he had a tear in one of his ligaments, which resulted in him being ruled out of action for more than six weeks.

Wright made his comeback as a substitute in the 3-3 draw at home to Middlesbrough on November 4 and made his first start since his enforced lay-off when Argyle lost 4-0 away to Leicester City, one of his former clubs, last Saturday. He said: “I had the injury for about six weeks before (the game at Bristol City). I was playing on with it and it was just causing me a little bit of a niggle in my knee.
