IN what is seen as a major step towards normalization of India-China ties, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held "substantive discussions" during the Special Representatives dialogue in Beijing on Wednesday.

Constituted in 2003, the Special Representatives (SRs) meeting is regarded as significant as it is the only structured engagement between the two countries to restore relations.
