State Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) minister Niraj Kumar Singh 'Babloo' said the previous government awarded contracts related to the drinking water supply in rural areas, including the installation of hand pumps and mini-supply systems in the state. The contracts relate to the period from August 2022 to January this year when the grand alliance was in power, the minister told the media.
