AN elaborate insurance fraud has come to light in Gujarat, an ordinary car driver the central character, resulting in a massive fraud of false claims running into lakhs of rupees.
At the core of the alleged scam controversy is one Aslam Mohammad Chunchala, who has been identified as the driver in 24 separate accident claims in Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar districts.
Authorities are yet to determine whether Chunchala was a willing participant or falsely implicated in the scam. But the pattern of the incidents suggests a well-orchestrated conspiracy to cheat insurance companies on a large scale.
