THE opening of the Kollam Indoor Stadium, also known as the Olympian Suresh Babu Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, has been delayed. Initially expected to welcome the public in January, the final phase of construction, which includes works like painting, marking lines on the eight-lane synthetic track, installing maple wood flooring, and completing the swimming pool, is yet to begin, despite the awarding of contract. The installation of floodlights and the completion of the football turf are also pending.
