TRIBAL promoter Mahesh Kumar of Edavaka grama panchayat has been dismissed in the wake of the incident, in which the body of an elderly tribal woman had to be carried in an autorickshaw for the funeral in Mananthavady, Wayanad.
The tribal promoters protested the dismissal of Mahesh, a temporary employee at Edavaka grama panchayat, on Wednesday.
They accused the authorities of making the tribal promoter a scapegoat in the incident.
