THE YOUTH League began a day-and-night strike in Meppadi on Wednesday evening against the Union and state governments' neglect of disaster victims.

Due to the delay in executing the township project for the rehabilitation of Wayanad landslide victims, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has decided to find land on its own and carry out the rehabilitation works. The project report with regard this will be prepared and submitted at the state committee meeting to be held in Kozhikode on Thursday. The final decision will be taken after the state committee meeting.
