AUTHORITIES in Annamayya district are probing the mysterious death of CA Ajaz Ahmed, a teacher at Kothapalli Zilla Parishad Urdu High School in Rayachoti. The case, under an inquiry committee led by Deputy DEO Prakash Reddy and MEO Balaji Naik, has drawn allegations of foul play from Ahmed's wife, Rahimoon, who claims he was beaten to death by students.
Initial police reports suggested Ahmed died of a heart attack, but Rahimoon accused the school administration of negligence, alleging visible injuries on his body. Officials, including Regional Joint Director (RJD) Samuel, DEO Subramanyam, and DSP Krishnarao, visited the school on Thursday to collect statements from teachers, students, and parents. They also investigated reports of student misconduct and an alleged altercation leading to the incident.
