THE swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government in Haryana headed by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will now be held in Panchkula on October 17, as earlier it was tentatively scheduled for October 15. The reason behind the change of date is availability of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Besides the PM, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, several Union ministers and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states are expected to attend the function. It is learnt that last night, Saini met Shah and other senior leaders in New Delhi, and the new date was decided upon as earlier, the swearing-in ceremony was to be held on October 15. "The change of date is due to PM Modi's availability on October 17," said sources.
