HCL's Shiv Nadar remains India's most generous with ₹2,153 cr charity in FY24

THE Shiv Nadar, founder of HCL Technologies, tops the list of most charitable person for the third year in a row, having donated as much ₹2,153 crore in FY24, which amounts to ₹5.9 crore a day and is close to 60% more than the collective giving-aways by the next four donors.

Even in the personal list, Nadar tops the chart with a contribution of ₹1,992 crore (as ₹2,153 crore of total donations is given out through the company's charitable trust, Shiv Nadar Foundation Institutions), followed by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani and Indo MIM Tec chairman Krishna Chivukula who donated ₹307 crore and ₹228 crore, respectively.
