In contrast, state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), which has not participated in tariff hikes, gained 6.28 million new subscribers during the same period. This marks the first instance in which BSNL has gained customers for three consecutive months, while private telecom service providers Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea have lost customers for three consecutive months.
