Benjamin Acorda Jr.maintained he only did what is good for the country.
"What I can only say is that I love my country and the PNP organization," Acorda said in a statement to reporters.
It was during Acorda's term that the PNP intensified law enforcement operations against illegal POGOs allegedly engaged in qualified human trafficking and other criminal activities.
“I did what needs to be done as a Filipino and I fulfilled that duty as a police officer,” Acorda said.
