PNP: Bonifacio Day protesters charged

The Philippine National Police has filed criminal charges against a militant group leader and a protester for allegedly attacking PNP personnel during a Bonifacio Day rally in Mendiola, Manila.

At a press briefing at Camp Crame yesterday, PNP public information office chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said charges of violating the Public Assembly Act, direct assault and disobedience to persons in authority were filed against the leader of the Kilusang Mayo Uno and one of the protesters before the Manila prosecutor's office.
