Congress Vows to Provide ₹2,500 to Women if it Comes to Power in Delhi

The Congress on Monday announced the 'Pyari Didi Yojana' under which it vowed to provide Rs 2,500 to every woman per month if the party comes to power in the upcoming Assembly elections in Delhi.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar along with Congress' Delhi in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin and party's Delhi unit chief Devender Yadav made the announcement of the scheme at the party's Delhi unit office in the city.

Addressing the media, Shivakumar, who is also the Karnataka Congress president said, "We are launching the 'Pyari Didi Yojana'. I am confident that the Congress government will come to Delhi. We are going to implement this Yojana on the first day of the Cabinet."
