Trinamul Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee will not be present at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Salt Lake on 3 October as he will be busy with the party programme in Delhi.
The ED had sent a notice to Mr Banerjee asking to be present at the CGO complex at 10.30am on 3 October. Earlier, ED officials had interrogated Mr Banerjee on 13 September. Because of the quizzing, he could not attend the meeting of the new INDIA alliance core committee, held in Mumbai.
This time, the ED has also sent notices to the parents of Mr Banerjee, Amit and Lata Banerjee as they are directors of Leaps and Bounds, a company which is under the scanner of the central agency. Mr Banerjee is the CEO of the company.
