Ajoy Edwards launches new political front

According to political analysts, the IGJF represents a strategic restructuring of Edwards' former party and includes a coalition of prominent leaders from various political parties and organisations. Notable figures such as NB Khawas, MB Chettri, Prakash Gurung, Pradeep Pradhan, and Narbu Lama have joined the IGJF, signalling an effort to consolidate diverse voices under one banner.

The primary objective of the new party, Mr Edwards stated, is to unify different factions to advocate for the creation of Gorkhaland and safeguard the identity and rights of the Gorkha people.
