Arsenal aim to recreate history, in-form Inter eye redemption

Reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan will be eager to banish painful memories from 21 years ago when they host Arsenal for a UEFA Champions League clash at the San Siro stadium on Thursday.

The two teams will face each other for the first time in over two decades in the Champions League. That match, which was also played at the San Siro, saw Arsenal destroy the Italian giants 5-1 in front of their home crowd on 25 November 2003.

The Gunners had created history at the time by becoming the first English team to win at the San Siro.

However, two decades later, the two teams face each other on the back of contrasting recent form.
