While they cannot cast the Wingardium Leviosa levitation spell with the wand handed to them at the start of the experience, they can use it to find traces of "magic" as they wander through the expansive Wizarding World.
Singapore is the only Asian destination for the immersive Harry Potter-themed attraction inspired by the popular media franchise about the adventures of the titular boy wizard and his friends, Hermione and Ron, as they battle evil wizard Lord Voldemort.
Created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Singapore-headquartered company Neon, the attraction had its world premiere in Cologne, Germany, in December 2023, before traveling to Brussels, Belgium, in July.
Neon, which specializes in producing experiential entertainment through partnerships with major studios, previously organized Avatar: The Experience in 2022 and Impressions Of Monet in July, both at Gardens by the Bay.
Sprawling more than 3,700 sq m - almost double the scale of the exhibitions in Cologne and Brussels - the RWS stop features 10 environments, including two exclusive to Singapore: The Trap Door and The Chamber Of Secrets.
Fans can relive magical moments of the story through multisensory art installations.
Mr. Welby Altidor, chief creative and innovation officer at Neon, tells The Straits Times: "Harry Potter: Visions Of Magic was a great opportunity to bring the beloved series to life, to create a magical experience where fans and non-fans can feel they are part of the wizarding world."
The beloved character was first introduced in 1997 through the book Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone, and English author J.K. Rowling went on to write six sequels.
