Hyderabad: In a temporary relief to pubs in commercial areas in the city, the Telangana high court on Monday said the restraint order issued by a single judge was applicable only to a few noisy ones in only to a few noisy ones in densely populated Jubilee Hills residential areas and the same could not be extended to the entire state.
A bench of Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice C V Bhaskar Reddy said the single judge’s order had acquired the nature of a PIL when it should have been confined to only five or six pubs against which residents had complained in the writ petition.
