I’d love the music industry to be separate from film industry and thrive independently: Andrea

While the actress-singer says that she has been a songwriter all her life, Andrea felt this was the right time to come out with an album. “Sitting in Chennai... writing English music... it just didn’t seem plausible. But during the lockdown, everything changed. Everyone had a drive to put their music out, no matter how big or small they were. I felt it equalised the music industry,” begins Andrea.

All the songs have been written by Andrea over the years. She says, “I picked them out from my song bank. During the lockdown, everybody had time to kill, including my band, who are always super busy. We utilised the time to record them. I’ll have to call this album “a love child of the lockdown”. I am grateful that there was this one silver lining during the lockdown, where I got to record them finally.”
