Marri removal: No procedure followed, say sr Cong leaders

Some senior Congress leaders found fault with the party's disciplinary action committee (DAC) chairman Chinna Reddy for expelling Marri Shashidhar Reddy without holding a proper meeting before taking the decision.

Though they made it clear that there was no doubt that Shashidhar Reddy should have been expelled, they said the DAC should not continue it as a trend. "Shashidhar Reddy's case should be treated as an exception or else there is a threat of action being taken against seniors of the party without giving them an opportunity to explain their point of view.
