Rajkot BJP MP loses 12 relatives, jeweller’s family of four is gone

Morbi: BJP Lok Sabha MP from Rajkot Mohan Kundariya said on Monday that 12 of his relatives were among those killed when the hanging bridge collapsed in Morbi on Sunday, while a jeweller and his entire family perished in the same tragedy.

Kundariya, who belongs to Morbi, joined the relief and rescue operations soon after the tragedy struck. “Twelve family members of my elder sister lost their lives. There were four women, three men and five children. All were residents of Morbi,” Kundariya told TOI. They belonged to different villages but had settled in Morbi, he said.
