Jaipur: Congress's chief whip in Rajasthan and cabinet minister Mahesh Joshi dashed off a preemptive complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Sunday, seeking its intervention in preventing horse-trading ahead of the June 10 elections to four Rajya Sabha seats.
His move coincided with chief minister Ashok Gehlot pulling out all stops to convince six dissident MLAs to join their corralled colleagues in Udaipur, reminiscent of how the party had dealt with the Sachin Pilot-led rebellion and BJP's alleged attempts to topple the government less than two years ago.
"The possibilities of horse-trading exist," Joshi said without referring to any specific instance or party. "I've submitted a written complaint to the ACB to ensure it remains alert," he said.
