New Delhi: A court on Wednesday issued notice to the Tihar Jail administration on Delhi minister Satyendar Jain’s application seeking directions to “restrain” the prison authorities from “leaking” any CCTV footage of his cell to the media. The court also directed the Tihar administration to provide food to Jain according to the rules for an undertrial on a religious fast.
The court of special judge Vikas Dhull directed, “Let the Tihar Jail administration provide the food to applicant/accused Satyendar Kumar Jain, which is available to a undertrial, if he is on a religious fast, keeping in mind Rules 339 and 341 read with 1124 of Delhi Prison Rules, 2018.” The next hearing is scheduled on Thursday.
